| Our generous donors and sponsors invest in our work through their businesses and personal philanthropy. They share our belief that each child is an individual who has a unique set of challenges and a unique set of opportunities. Our role, in part, is to help the children, youth, and teens in our community successfully deal with their challenges so that they may make the best use of their opportunities.
Our Club is the only organization in New Britain providing an open door/drop in environment for youth ages six to 18. A comprehensive youth development strategy underlies each of our programs, fostering a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness and influence that build self-confidence and self-esteem for every child and teen. Here is where we spend your charitable dollars:
- We serve only children. This requires a dedicated professional staff.
- We offer a year-round safe and nurturing environment for children, with an “open-door” policy.
- Our Club offers a nationally accredited and affordable pre-school program.
- Your dollars provide structure, guidance, and compassion in young lives, often unavailable in other settings.
- Through peer- mentoring, we model positive behavior, build self respect, and respect for others. The programs are outcome based, with measurable impacts and focus on the whole child.
- Develop strong leadership attributes in children and youth.
- We provide innovative activities: VIP, Smart Moves, and educational enrichment programs.
- We partner with New Britain schools providing a “drop-off” space when schools are not in session and are closed for storms and emergencies.
